…Govt Swings Into Action

A gang of supected killers are now feared to have arrived Kwara State from neighbouring states; a develooment which is attracting the state government’s pro-activeness.
Chief Press Secretary, CPS, to the Kawara State governor, Rafiu Ajakaiye, in Ilorin, the state capital, said a group of suspected criminals were reported to have arrived Baruten Local Government Area from neighbouring state and camped in the council area.
Meanwhile, the Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdukRazaq, in his reaction, had said there would be zero tolerance by hi administration for any killer gangs in the state.
Speaking through Ajakaiye in Ilorin on Thursday, AbdulRazaq however said his government would welcome any Nigerian who wishes to make a decent living in Kwara and accord him a conducive space in the state.
He said, “There would be zero tolerance for any individual or group of individuals to make life unbearable for others.”
Ajakaiye added that the government had despatched powerful security personnel to the area.
He said, “The government’s proactive steps have resulted in the immediate dislodgement of the suspected criminals.
“Government commends the Nigerian Army for helping to rid the area of the suspected criminals. Members of the public are urged to be vigilant and to always volunteer information in record time to continue to keep Kwara safe.”
