A formidable member of the civil society organization, CSO, Comrade Razaq Olokoba, has said that signs that the second term of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will be better for the people of Lagos State are visible everywhere, describing it as a clear indication that he will not disappoint.
Olokoba stated this in Lagos on Friday, after an appraisal meeting of his group, Campaign for Dignity in Governance, CDG, held to examine the coasting home of the governor after his first term in office.
Olokoba, a renowned activist is the Convener and National President of the organization.
He said, “Having compared notes with various other groups that have also made their independent appraisal of Governor Sanwo-Olu’s end of first term performance, we unanimously reached a conclusion that he has scored a distinction.
“And our consensus on his about to be started second term is that he has put nobody in doubt that he will continue the good work, and even surpass the previous performance.”
Olokoba added that what Sanwo-Olu, however, needs like ever before is his people’s support.
The CDG boss therefore appeal to the good people and residents of Lagos to rally round Sanwo-Olu by doubling their support and cooperation for him for better performance that would lead to more dividends of democracy.
Olokoba also seized the interaction to thank the media for their support, commending them for the vital roles they are playing in nation building.
He enthused, “Gentlemen of the press, we will however play Oliver Twist by asking for more. You and I are aware that to collaborate in putting the government on the right path will be beneficial to the generality of the people, the media inclusive.”
