In what could be described as creativity at its peak, a resident of Moniya area in Ibadan in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State, Mrs. Jumoke Olowokere, has created a gigantic beautifully decorated Christmas Tree with trashed plastic bottles in a ‘Lght Up Moniya’ initiative.
Mrs Olowokere said that with the help of volunteers and sponsors, her creative team, the African Creative SS Hub, installed the Christmas Tree from plastic bottle wastes in a period of time spanning 14 hours.
Presenting the Christmas Tree to the public, she said, “Here is iur finished work!!! The team was able to save 810 plastic bottles from entering the ocean and/or landfills.”
