A member of the House of Representatives, Hon Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, has contributed to the treatment of a kidnap victim (names withheld) in Ekiti State.
A statement by her Special Assistant, Media and Publicity, Olamilekan Olusada, on Sunday, indicated that Akande-Sadipe received an SOS call from the family of the victim, who had sustained various degrees of injury, in the hands of some suspected ritualists.
Her family reached out to Hon Akande-Sadipe on a need for urgent medical care to save his life from the life threatening injuries.
Speaking on behalf of the rescued victim, Abisola Stella Aruleba, from Nims University, Rajasthan, Jaipur, India, expressed total delight and boundless gratitude to the House of Representatives member, who she described as “an inspiration.”
Applauding Akande-Sadipe’s genuine love for mankind, Aruleba said that though the victim, a female, is not from Oyo State, the representative swung into action.
Contribution to the care of the victim is coming at a time when Hon. Akande-Sadipe had in various fora condemned the high spate of insecurity in the country.
Akande-Sadipe, who chairs the House Committee on Diaspora Affairs, therefore called on all relevant security agencies to find a lasting solution to the insecurity challenges bedevilling the country and appealed to Nigerians to dwell in peace and love.
