President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday in Abuja announced the appointment of the Speaker of House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila as his Chief of Staff, CoS, and Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, a former deputy governor of Jigawa State, as Deputy Chief of Staff, DCoS.

By practice, Senator Hadejia is expected to serve the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima.

Recall that Gbajabiamila has for long been speculated to be appointed the Chief of Staff, CoS, to President Tinubu, even long before the announcement if his appointment.

In a meeting with the Progressives Governors, Forum, PGF, the President also named former governor of Benue State and the immediate past Minister of Special Duties, George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF.

A State House press statement, signed by the Director of information, State House, Abiodun Oladunjoye, confirmed the new appointments, which take immediate effect.

Interestingly, the President, the Vice President, the CoS, the DCoS, the SGF and even the First Lady are all alumni of the National Assembly.
