The governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has effected a minor reshuffling of his cabinet, assigning new portfolios to two commissioners.

The cabinet reshuffling was announced at the state executive council meeting, held at the Executive Chamber of the Governor’s Office, in Ibadan.

In a statement, the state Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun, indicated that the governor directed Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye to henceforth head the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, while the new deputy governor, Hon. Bayo Lawal, will be in charge of the Ministry of Trades, Industry, Investment and Cooperatives.

Tuesday’s state executive meeting was the first if it’s kind to be attended by the deputy g since his appointment nad swearing-in as the Oyo State deputy governor.

Also in attendance at the executive meeting were: the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Olubamiwo Adeosun; the Chief of Staff, CoS, to the governor, Segun Ogunwuyi among others.
