The governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has approved the appointment of Chairmen and members of the governing councils of the three Ekiti State-owned tertiary institutions in the state.
A statement signed by the Special Adviser, SA, Media, to the governor, Mr Yinka Oyebode and made available to the media stated that the state-owned institutions are: Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti and Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti.
The members of the governing councils for Ekiti State University, EKSU are: Professor Akin Oyebode, Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council; Professor Demola Omojola; Chief Bayo Awosemusi; Dr. Israel Ovirhi; Arch Dipo Ajayi; Mrs Foluso Olaniyan; Mrs Bunmi Akingba;
Mr Rotimi Esho; Professor C.O. Kolawole; and Alhaji Abdusalam Babatunde.
For Bamidele Olumilua University of Education Science and Technology, BOUEST, Ikere-Ekiti, members of the governing council include: Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN; Chancellor; Professor Dipo Aina, Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council;
Professor Dele Olowokudejo; Mr. S.I. Folorunso; Mr. Alaba Olusola Ibitoba; Mrs Iyabo Obasa; Chief (Mrs) Bola Fasuan;
Dr. Isah Emmanuel Aileonokhuoya; and Professor Sehinde Oluwatosin.
While the governing council of Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, EKSUTH, are: Dr. Adedamola Dada, Chairman; Dr. Adebola Orimadegun; Dr. J. O. Oguntoye; Alhaja Muibat Akingbade;
Prince Soji Agunbiade; Mr. Ilesanmi Simon Olugbenga; and Mr. Adetunji Kolawole.
The date for the inauguration ceremony of the councils will be announced later.
