The 2021 Appropriation Bill of Osun State was on Friday passed into law by the state House of Assembly on Friday after third reading.

The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, reports that Governor Gboyega Oyetola,had on November 10 presented a fiscal proposal of N109,855,051,640 before the House of Assembly for consideration.

Christened ‘Budget of Providence, Oyetola had said the proposal is geared toward promoting post COVID-19 recovery, as well as youth engagement and empowerment.

The budget defence for Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs, held from November 17 to Decemeber 4 , with the institutions all appearing before the various committees of the House.

Speaking after the passage of the budget on Friday, the Speaker, Rt. Hon Timothy Owoeye, thanked his colleagues for their commitment that ensured the timely passage of the proposal.

He said that the House would be alive to its responsibilities, while quarterly interactions would be held with MDAs and the people on budget performance and feedback.
