The forthcoming New Media Conference of the Online Publishers Association of Nigeria, OPAN, scheduled to hold on April 21 at the MUSON Centre, Ikoyi Lagos has been postponed indefinitely, following fears of the coronavirus pandemic.
Making the announcement in a release signed by OPAN President and General Secretary, Austyn Ogannah and Daniel Elombah respectively, OPAN said, “The postponement became inevitable because of the coronavirus pandemic and the uncertainties surrounding the nature of the spread of the deadly virus in the country.
“Public health experts have urged social distancing as an effective means of curtailing the spread. A new date for the conference will be announced at a later date.”
OPAN apologises for any convenience arising from the indefinite postponement.
