The Agboola Alfred Ajayi Campaign Organisation, 3ACO, has expressed profound appreciation and thanks to supporters of the deputy governor of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi, across the 18 local government areas of the state for their “uncommon doggedness, commitment and excellent outing at the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship primaries, conducted on Wednesday, July 22.
A release signed by the Director-General of the campaign organization, Dr Kola Ademujimi, said, “On behalf of His Excellency, Hon Alfred Agboola Ajayi, Deputy Governor of Ondo State, we wish to thank all our supporters across the 18 local government areas of thesState for an uncommon doggedness, commitment and excellent outing at the PDP governorship primaries on Wednesday, 22nd July, 2020.
“We also wish to appreciate and commend our principal, His Excellency, Agboola Ajayi, for displaying maturity, level headedness in the face of provocation and campaign of calumny. He proved that he is a grassroots politician by polling 657 votes, coming second in a contest amongst seven other aspirants, barely 30 days after rejoining the PDP.”
Ademujimi said that this explains why commendations kept pouring in from within and outside the state for the deputy governor; describing his performance as “a great performance, a great day for him and democracy.”
While thanking the deputy governor’s teeming supporters for their high sense of commitment and loyalty, Ademujimi added, “We are equally using this medium to state unequivocally that PDP remains our party and we therefore want all our supporters to remain loyal to the party as we work towards the way forward.”
