For Saturday’s bye-election into the Akure North/South federal constituency, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has announced a 26-man campaign committee.
A statement, signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Debo Ologunagba, and made available to newsmen on Tuesday, stated that the campaign committee is to be co-chaired by the governors of Edo and Oyo states, Godwin Obaseki and Seyi Makinde, respectively.
The statement, titled ‘PDP Constitutes Campaign Council for Ondo Bye-Elections’ reads, “The National Working Committee, NWC, of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has approved the nomination of the following party members as members of the National Campaign Council/Election Management Team for the Akure North/Akure South federal constituency bye-election, scheduled for Saturday, February 26, 2022 in Ondo State.

His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, Co-Chairman; His Excellency, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko; Eyitayo Jegede, SAN; Hon. Debo Ologunagba; Amb. Omolade Oluwateru; Her Excellency, Alhaja Mutiat Ladoja; Her Excellency, Senator Biodun Olujimi; Senator Fadahunsi Francis Adenigba; Senator Akinyelure Patrick Ayo; Senator Tofowomo Nicholas; Senator Balogun Kola Ademola; Rt. Hon. Abdel Majid Segun Adekola; Hon. Tajudeen Obasa; Hon. Akinjo Kolade Victor; Hon. Ikengboju Gboluga Dele; Chief Clement Faboyede; Hon. Festus Akingbosa; Hon. Rasheed Elegbeleye; Hon. “The Directorate of Organization and Mobilization shall serve as the Secretariat for the Council.”
