Members of the pioneer set of Oludaye Grammar School, Oba-Akoko in Ondo State, the 1975/1980 set, will on Saturday, November 26, gather in Akure, the Ondo State capital for their first ever reunion, over 42 years after leaving their alma mater.
The reunion, scheduled to holds at the SMEDAN Hall in the Sunshine State capital with start at 2pm prompt.
For many of the old students of Oludaye Grammar School, which was established in 1975, this reunion would be the first time they would be seeing their classmates after leaving school in 1980, over 42 years ago.
A statement made available to our correspondent in Akure, by the local Organising committee, LOC, stated that every member of the 1980 set are eager to be part of next Saturday’s gathering; adding that a bigger reunion for all old students of the school is being planned for next year.
The statement further added that the November 26 reunion of the first set will be full of emotions, so many of the old students would be meeting again for the first time in 42 years, while some members of the 1980 set, who have passed on would be accorded due recognition.
