For allegedly sleeping with a woman and her two daughters, a supposed man of God, Timothy Oluwatimileyin, has been arrested by men of the Ogun State Police Command in Abeokuta, the state capital.
Pastor Oluwatimileyin, who is the pastor of the Spirit-Filled International Christian Church, in the Olumore area of the state calital, was apprehended on Thursday.
Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed this in a statement, adding that the arrest followed a complaint lodged at Adatan Police Station, Abeokuta, by the victims’ husband and father.
The man, whose identity was not disclosed, said to have been accompanied by an official of the Ministry of Women Affairs, reported that his wife and two daughters were lured by their church pastor, who took them into his custody, and has since been sleeping with them.
Oyeyemi said, “Upon the report, the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, Adatan Division, Superintendent of Police, SP Abiodun Salau, detailed his detectives to effect the arrest of the randy pastor.”
The statement further revealed that the randy pastor confessed to commiting the crime upon interrogation, and pleaded for forgiveness.
According to Oyeyemi, the suspect explained that he took advantage of a little misunderstanding between the woman and her husband to carry out the devilish act.
In his reaction, the state Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole, directed the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, SCIID, to take over the case and investigate it diligently, with a view to charging the suspect to court as soon as possible.
