The Ogun State government has assured students of Tai Solarin University of Education, TASUED, in Ijagun and the leadership of the Ogun State chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, that those responsible for the death of a 300-level student, Oladipupo Adebayo, will not go unpunished.
In a statement issued on Sunday and signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Mr. Waheed Adesina, the government condemned the heinous act, while revealing that the police have been directed to invite all parties involved, including the Baale of Imaweje village, where the incident occurred, to investigate the immediate and remote causes of the student’s death.
The state administration strongly condemned the student’s death, saying that no one has the authority to take the law into their own hands.
The state administration sharply criticized the student’s death, saying it was one too many, promising to ensure that justice is served this time around.
