The Ogun State government has begun the reconstruction of Mowe-Ofada road in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area, to ease human and vehicular movement in the axis.

This was disclosed in a press statement signed by the state Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya, on Tuesday.

Engr Adesanya stated that prior to the commencement of the work, rehabilitation of failed portion and asphalt laying from Mowe junction, transversing through the market corridor, would be done to ensure seamless traffic diversion.

He revealed that there would be partial closure from Mowe junction to 09 junction for three days beginning from October 29 to November 1, 2022 to carry out construction work in the axis.

Akinsanya implored residents to cooperate with the contractor to ensure hitch free, safe and timely execution of the work on the busy corridor, especially around Mowe market square, saying law enforcement agencies would be on ground to maintain smooth traffic.
