Nigeria on Thursday recorded its highest COVID-19 cases on Thursday, with 381 additional coronavirus cases.

Making this announcement, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, added that this largest single-day increase in cases since the pandemic began, brings the country’s tally to 3,526.

Of this tally, a total of 601 people, have recovered from the novel virus, according to available data.

COVID-19 fatalities remain at 107, with four new ones recorded on Thursday.

The breakdown of the new cases, state by state, as announced by NCDC, is as follows: Lagos, 183; Kano, 55; Jigawa, 44; Zamfara and Bauchi, 19 apiece; Katsina, 11; Borno, 9; Kwara, eight; Kaduna, seven; Gombe, six; Ogun, five; Sokoto, four; Oyo, and Rivers, three apiece; Niger, two; Akwa Ibom, Enugu and Plateau, one case apiece.
