A new substantive Director-General and Chief Executive Officer, DG/CEO on Monday, March 16, formally took over at the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA. He is Captain Musa Shuaibu Nuhu.
At a brief handover ceremony, which took place at the Conference Room, Aviation House, Ikeja, according to a press statement signed by the NCAA’s General Manager, Public Relations, Sam Adurogboye, was superintended by the acting DG, Captain Sidi Abdullahi.
Nuhu resumed as the seventh Director General of the NCAA, following his appointment on 23rd October, 2019 and eventual confirmation by the Senate.
At the handing over, Captain Abdullahi urged staff to support the new DG in his drive to take the Authority to greater heights.
Responding, the new DG thanked the Federal Government for the confidence reposed in him, promising to work with the staff in realizing the organisation’s mandate.
While soliciting for new ideas and suggestions from the staff aimed at making things work seamlessly, Captain Nuhu urged the staff to brace up for challenges ahead arising from COVID-19 pandemic.
Top Management staff in attendance include: Director of Operations and Training, Captain Abdullahi; Director of General Aviation, Capt Dele Sasegbon; Director of Consumer Protection, Alhaji Adamu Abdullahi; Director of Air Worthiness Standards, Engr. Ita Awak; Director of Aerodrome and Airspace Standards, Engr. Tayyib Odunowo; and Director of Finance and Accounts, Hajia Bilikisu Adamu Sani.
Others are: the Director of Air Transport Regulation, Group Capt. Edem Oyo-Ita (Rtd.); the Director of Human Resources and Administration, Mr. Abbas Sanusi, represented by the General Manager, Human Resources, Anthony Ayasal; the General Manager, Servicom, Mr. Adekola Johnson; the General Manager, Public Relations, Mr. Adurogboye; the Legal Adviser, Barr. Emmanuel Chukwuma; the Company Secretary, Barr. Olu Akinde; the General Manager, Aero Medical Standards, Dr. Wilfred Haggai; the General Manager, Audit, Mr Alhaji Sani Mahmud; the Technical Assistant to the DG, Engr. Also in attendance was the immediate successor to the Director General as Nigeria’s representative on the International Civil Aviation Organisation, ICAO, Council, Engr. Ben Tukur.
