The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has described the passing of first-class traditional ruler in Kwara State, Oba Sikiru Atanda Woleola, the Olupo of Ajasse-Ipo, as a great loss not just to his family and community but indeed to the entire state.

In a statement issued in Abuja by the Special Assistant on Media to the President, Office of the Minister of Information and Culture, Segun Adeyemi, the Minister said the Olupo will be sorely missed for his wisdom, love of the people and the rare leadership he provided during his memorable reign.

Expressing deepest condolences to His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State; the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari; the late Olupo’s immediate and extended family, friends and associates, as well as all the sons and daughters of Ajasse-Ipo, Alhaji Mohammed prayed that God will give them the fortitude to bear the loss.

The minister also prayed God to forgive the Olupo his sins and grant him Aljannah Firdaus.
