Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has approved the appointment of Mr Segun Ogunwuyi, as his Chief of Staff, CoS.
This is contained in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Taiwo Adisa, on Monday in Ibadan, saying that the appointment was confirmed in a letter by the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Olubamiwo Adeosun.
Adisa said that prior to his new appointment, Ogunwuyi was the Director-General of the Oyo State Investment and Public, Private Partnership Agency, OYSIPPPA. He had earlier been appointed Special Assistant to Governor Makinde in Investment.
As the OYSIPPA DG, Ogunwuyi midwifed series of investment initiatives, including the Alternative Project Funding Approach, APFA, which has helped the state in the execution of critical infrastructure projects.
Ogunwusi, a former member of the Oyo State House of Assembly and also a former member of the House of Representatives representing Ogbomoso North/South/Oriire federal constituency, holds a B.Sc. degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration, MBA, from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
Recall that Governor Makinde had on June 29, sacked all his commissioners, including his immediate past Chief of Staff, Mr Bisi Ilaka.
