…Hails APC Over Successful Primary
An all women non- governmental organization, NGO, Women for Change Initiative, WCI, has congratulated Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu on his emergencr as the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, for a second term in office.
The group, in a statement from it’s Convener, Barrister Epitope Success-Adekunle, in Lagos on Friday also gave kudos to the leadership of the party in the state for a job well done, confirming that the results of the outing on Thursday were in line with the people’s thinking.
According to the statement, giving the incumbent the go ahead to contest for a second term in office has confirmed that the exercise was transparent, democratic and credible.
Posting anything contrary would have given observers of the process room for suspicion, asserting that the verdict of the primary tallied with the people’s expectations, because the governor’s performance showed that he meritted a second term in office.
The statement therefore reminded Sanwo-Olu that the ticket is a clarion call for more hardwork and not a ticket for relaxation.
As it were, the NGO also urged the people of the state not to relent in the support they are giving the governor so that he can be encouraged to do more, declaring that what Sanwo-Olu needs more now than ever is maximum support and cooperation with him and hist team
The NGO, in conclusion said, the distraction has-been surmounted, stating that the coast is now clear for the governor for unhindered performance.
