The Kwara State government is holding a two-day free cataract surgeries next week in Ilorin, the state capital.
The state Ministry of Health made this known in a statement, saying that the exercise would be in collaboration with the Ophthalmological Society of Nigeria, OSN.
The statement said that the exercise would hold between Monday, August 30 and Tuesday, August 31 at the General Hospital, Ilorin, as well as the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital.
The ministry urged members of the general public with eye problems to take advantage of the free surgeries to correct their eyes’ problems.
