…Directs Immediate Scholarship Payment To Kwara Law Students Across Nigeria
By Wole Adedeji, Ilorin
The Kwara State government has celebrated the overall best graduating student, Miss Omotayo Dada, among the freshly-called to Bar at the Nigerian Law School, Abuja.
The joy of the government was conveyed to Miss Dada; the brillinat Law School student, who is an indigene of Kwara State by the state Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Alabi Afeez Abolore.
The commissioner said that the state was proud of her for emerging the overall best graduating student at the Nigerian Law School, describing the feat by her as a hard-earned success at that prestigious level.
He prayed God to continue to make her ongoing journey to overall successes in life easy and smooth saying, “We are very proud of you and wish that more feats come your way and the ways of fellow Kwarans in all their respective endeavors by the grace of God.”
Meanewhile, the state government has directed the immediate payment of scholarship allowance to bona fide students, who are indigenes of the state at the Nigerian Law Schools from across the country.
The Tertiary Education commissioner, who made this known yesterday in Ilorin, the state capital, said that the government, in the gesture, would be transparent about the exercise; adding that the money would be paid directly into the accounts of each beneficiary.
He said that government relies on the list it received from the Nigerian Law School and promised to follow it to the letter in the disbursement exercise.
Explaining that the gesture further demonstrates the passion of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq about the students’ welfare, Dr. Abolore said that the ministry was collaborating with the state Scholarship Board to commence the disbursement, pointing out that the directive would take immediate effect.
