The governor of Kebbi State, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has expressed happiness at the massive turn-out of the supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, at the campaign rally in Kalgo, Kebbi State last Friday.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Kebbi State governor, Abubakar Mu’azu Dakingari, bad made available to newsmen.

Various speakers who mounted the podium acknowledged the several agricultural, socio-economic, health and educational projects executed in the area by the incumbent APC administration of Senator Bagudu.

They further recalled that as the then Chairman, Senate Committee on Education, Senator Bagudu led the former Minister of Education during the tenure of former Governor, Alhaji Sa’idu Usman Nasamu Dakingari, to site of the Federal University, Birnin Kebbi, at Kalgo, while the former governor constructed the modern Kebbi Medical Centre, Kalgo and equipped by the Bagudu administration.

In separate remarks, the chairman of the APC in Kalgo Local Government, Alhaji Sani Namagare Kalgo, the APC Zonal Vice Chairman, Kebbi Central, Abubakar Bello Matawalle, the Chairman, Kalgo Local Government Area, Hon. Shamsu Farouk Kalgo, the APC candidate for Kalgo, Bunza and Birnin Kebbi federal constituencies, Professor Mukhtar Umar Bunza, Alhaji Sahabi Magarza, Rilwanu Sani Magarza respectively, the APC candidate or Kalgo state constituency, Dr. Abba Sani Kalgo, the state Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Aliyu Mutubare, and Aliyu Diggi, as well as Kalgo Local Government APC Women Leader enumerated numerous projects executed by the present administration, to include: roads, economic empowerment, educational matters and health services as worthy of commendation.

Addressing the large gathering, Governor Bagudu thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for touching the lives of the inhabitants of Kalgo and Kebbi State positively by uplifting their socio-economic and educational wellbeing.

Governor Bagudu therefore urged the electorate to turn out en masse and cast their votes for all APC candidates from presidential to state Assembly elections: Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu and other candidates.

On his part, the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu, who served as teacher and retired in Kalgo, described Kalgo town as his second home.

He said that as a teacher, he was able to revamp the education office and enhanced pupils acquisition of knowledge.

Dr. Gwandu added that he provided support to 1,200 people under Kauran Gwandu Foundation, while 500 patients benefited from drugs and free medical treatment.

He gave an assurance that if elected as governor, he would deliver more dividends of democracy to the people.

Governor Bagudu and the APC gubernatorial candidate paid homage to the palace of the District Head of Kalgo, Sarkin Gobir, Alhaji Haruna Jada Bashar and the District Head of Diggi, Dangaladiman Diggi, who commended Governor Bagudu for executing people-oriented projects in the state.

The campaign rally, which was led by the state Director-General, APC Campaign Council and former Governor Sa’idu Usman Nasamu Dakingari, was attended by the APC deputy gubernatorial candidate, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida, the APC state chairman, Abubakar Kana Zuru, retired Deputy Comptroller General of Customs, Abubakar Malam Shatiman Gwandu and the Chairman APC Elders Forum, Alhaji Sani Zauro Hukuma Zannan Gwandu.

The Chairman, APC Publicity Sub-Committee, Alhaji Kabiru Sani Giant, alongside his assistant, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Suru, performed effective mobilization of APC supporters to throng the venue in thousands.
