The head of the Special Investigation Panel, SIP, set up by the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba, yo investigate the suspended head of the IGP’s Intelligence Response Team, IRT, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, over his alleged involvement in money laundering with International fraudster Rahmon Abass, Joseph Egbunike, a Deputy Inspector General of Police, DIG, in-charge of Force Criminal Investigations Department, FCID, is dead.
Egbunike who hails from Onitsha in Anambra State, was reported to have slumped and died in his office in Abuja in the late hours of Tuesday.
It was reported that the late DIG underwent a major surgery over an undisclosed ailment a few weeks ago.
