The immediate past Secretary to the Borno State Government, SSG, Alhaji Usman Jidda Shuwa, is dead.
Shuwa, Governor Babagana Umara Zulum’s SSG, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday.
Sources told CompassNG, “He passed on at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, UMTH, this (Saturday) evening.”
Shuwa was a seasoned administrator with a long standing track record of working at both state and federal levels.
Recall that during a valedictory session few days to 29th May, 2023, Governor Zulum had announced a three-day extension for the late SSG to remain in office after dissolution of the entire cabinet.
