The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, FUNAAB, has appointed a tested, proven and seasoned chartered accountant, Mr. Olukayode Osinuga, FCA, as its acting Bursar.
Osinuga’s appointment, according to a release by the Head, Directorate of Public Relations of the institution, Kola Adepoju, FICA, JP, is contained in a letter signed by the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olusola Babatunde Kehinde, and takes effect from August 16, 2023 and until further notice.
The appointment of Mr. Osinuga, a veteran with rich experience spanning over three decades came on the heels of the expiration of the tenure of the immediate past Bursar, Mr. Chukwuwinke Ezekpeazu.
Osinuga joined FUNAAB service in June 1998 as Accountant 1 and rose through the ranks to of Director, now Deputy Bursar in 2012.
Until his appointment as acting Bursar, Mr. Osinuga was Deputy Bursar I in FUNAAB.
Described as a good mixer and team player, by his co-workers and colleagues, Osinuga, fondly referred to as ‘Baba Oshii’ by his teeming admirers within and outside the university community, holds a Bsc Accounting degree with honours from Joseph Ayo Babalola University, JABU; a post-graduate diploma, PGD in Computer Science from the FUNAAB; a Masters in accounting, Msc Accounting degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife and an MBA Agribusiness from FUNAAB.
Osinuga, the immediate past Bursar of the National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration, Ondo, Ondo State, Nigeria has attended various professional and management training workshops within and outside the country.
Celebrated as a genius in his chosen profession of accounting by his colleagues, has won many awards within and outside the university community, and is happily married and blessed with children
