Former Minister of Aviation and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Femi Fani-Kayode, has disclosed that more chieftains of the PDP will defect to the All Progressives Congress, APC, soon.
Fani-Kayode disclosed this while lamenting over the wave of defections from the PDP.
In a series of tweets on Tuesday, the former minister pointed out that the PDP must do some soul-searching to avert the gale defections from its fold to the APC.
He tweeted, “In the last few months, PDP has lost three governors and a handful of senators and House of Representatives members. I can confirm that more surprises are coming soon.
“This should lead to a lot of soul-searching and introspection on the part of the PDP and not insults and threats of litigation.”
The PDP chieftain urged the opposition party to reach out to aggrieved members.
Recall that lately, the PDP has lost three governors to the APC, with the latest being the defection of the Zmafara State governor, Bello Matawalle, who dumped the PDP for the APC.
Earlier, governors of Ebonyi and Cross River states, Dave Umahi and Prof. Ben Ayade respectively, had defected to the APC.
