The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NOBIS Eye Centre, Jalingo, Dr. Gideon Avar, has urged young people, especially entrepreneurs, to imbibe the virtues of honesty and faithfulness to enable them succeed.
Avar, who is also the founder of Mag NOBIS Table Water in Jalingo and a mentor to emerging young entrepreneurs, stated this shortly after he received two prestigious awards at a colourful ceremony held at the Rockview Hotel (Royale), Abuja.
The MD/CEO of NOBIS Eye Centre and Mag NOBIS Table Water was honoured with the prestigious Institute of Management Consultants, IMC Nigeria, and the International Council of Management Consulting Institute ICMCI, awards.
The awards were presented to him by the former Minister of Eduation, Prof. Jerry Agada, who is the President of the Governing Council of the Institute.
Dr. Avar, an Ophthalmologist in charge of NOBIS Eye Centre, Jalingo, by these awards, is now a Fellow of the Institute, FIMC, and a Certified Management Consultant, CMC.
Dr. Avar told CompassNg that he was highly encouraged and motivated by the awards, which he said will spur his to do more.
He said, “I feel honoured and motivated. It was a pleasure for me to sit and discuss with directors, heads of government agencies and captains of big companies in Nigeria during the award ceremony.
“I want to call on young people to be faithful and trustworthy in all they do. My guiding principles in business and life in general revolve around these two key principles.
“I dedicate these awards to my family and staff of NOBIS Eye Centre and Mag NOBIS Table Water, as well as our esteem customers who have been there for us.
“Of course, it wouldn’t have been possible for me to come this far if not for their support.
“For us at NOBIS, we are growing our businesses by leveraging on other people who have trusted us over the years. I therefore, enjoin people, especially the youth, to be focus and faithful in all they do and God will help them to succeed.”
