The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has scheduled a special state congress to pick its governorship candidate for the gubernatorial election of Ekiti State.
The special state congress, specifically to pick the party’s gubernatorial candidate for the election, will hold on Wednesday, January 26.
Recall that the election has been scheduled by the National Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, too hold on Saturday, June 18, 2022.
A statement by the National Organising Secretary of thc PDP, Hon Umar Bature, listed the names of the electoral committee saddled with this all important assignment to include: governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency Udom Emmanuel, chairman; former deputy governor of Osun State, Her Excellency, Erelu Olusola Obada; Hon. Michael Mku; Barrister Ibrahim Khalid; and Rt Hon Toby Okechukwu, who is to serve as the secretary.
The primary election is scheduled to hold in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.
