The Ekiti State House Assembly Committee on Education has commended the administration of Governor Kayode Fayemi for placing premium on provision of conducive learning and teaching environment for pupils and teachers in all public schools.

Giving the commendation, the Chairman of House Committee on Education, Mrs Kemi Balogun, on Tuesday in Ado-Ekiti during an oversight visit to all the ongoing projects of the State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, across the state, said that the Committee was particularly impressed with the quality of materials used and work done by contractors handling the projects.

She however, called on those who were yet to complete their projects to expedite action in view of the importance attached to the education sector by the Fayemi led administration.

The committee then charged the teachers and the pupils in public schools to make use of the facility and protect them against vandals, so that public fund invested would not go down the drain.

Other members of the Committee on the tour were who included, Alhaji Hakeem Jamiu, Mr Ayodeji Ajayi, Tajudeen Akingbolu, and Mr Abiodun Fawekun.

One of the Head Teachers, who received the committee at St Paul Primary School, Iludun- Ekiti, Mr Joseph Oguntoye, appreciated the Governor Fayemi-led administration in its efforts towards upgrading dilapidated school structures.

He pledged that the school would make good use of the facilities for the purpose for which they were provided.

Some of the contractors, who were yet to complete their work pledged to deliver within the shortest possible time.
