The gubernatorial candidate of the Accord Party, AP, in the June 18 Ekiti State governorship election, Basorun Reuben Famuyibo, has approved the appointment of former Political Editor of the defunct National Mirror newspaper, Olajide Omojolomoju, as his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.

Famuyibo made this known in a statement by his new SA on Media and Publicity, Mr Omojolomoju, made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.

Omojolomoju cut his journalistic teeth with Diamond Publications Limited, publishers of Media Review and the brains behind the famous Diamond Award of Media Excellence, DAME.

He thereafter moved to the old National Mirror, under the ownership of Emeka Obasi; from where he moved to the defunct Nigerian Compass.

He later migrated to the National Mirror, when it was bought over by self-acclaimed business moguls, Barr Jimoh Ibrahim, where he became the Polical Editor before moving on to the Authority newspapers, as Deputy Political Editor.

He later become the Political Editor for Southern states at the stable of Leadership newspaper, from where he became the editor of The View magazine, a monthly general interest magazine published by Longview Communications Limited.

The former political editor establish an online blog, nationalcompassng.com in January, 2020.

He is bringing to bear on the gubernatorial aspiration of Otunba Famuyibo his long years of political coverage and writings and hopes to impact positively on the candidate’s aspiration to become the next governor of Ekiti State.
