…Urges Members To Vote Massively for Dapo Abiodun, APC
The Ogun State chapter of the Amalgamated Commercial Tricycle and Motorcycle Owners, Repairs and Riders Association of Nigeria, ACOMORAN, has cautioned it’s members against being used by politicians to hurt the polity and disrupt civil rule for selfish ends during the March 11 gubernatorial election.
Insisting that its members must refrain from being used by politicians to create crisis in pursuit of their selfish interests, the Chairman of ACOMORAN in Ogun State, Kayode Amos Showunmi, who gave the warning on Tuesday, at a press briefing in Abeokuta, noted that as a non partisan association with over 200,000 members across the state, ACOMORAN has continued to be a partner in progress in the Ogun project.
Showunmi said, “Ogun State has continued to witness different developmental achievements since it’s creation; and we have always partner with relevant government agencies towards achieving their set goals and we want to use this medium to commend all our past leaders, who have contributed to the socio-economic development of the Gateway State, and in particular, the present government, led by Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR.
“The present government in our dear state has continued to justify the mandate given by the good people, and can boast of different developmental achievements that cut across the four zones of the state since he came on board over three and half years ago; and it has continue to justify the mandate and it is on this note that the leadership of ACOMORAN in Ogun State deemed it fit to support and endorse such a pragmatic government by encouraging its members across the state to vote massively for the continuity of the present government led by Prince Abiodun on March 11, by voting for all candidates of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in their various polling booth on election day.
“The endorsement of Governor Abiodun was base on several projects of economic importance, executed by this government, some of which are: the creation of full fledge Ministry of Transportation, the first of its kind since the creation of our state; rehabilitation and construction of roads across the 20 local government areas in the state, which has improved our business; improved security, creating enabling environment for private businesses to thrive and most recently, the launching of agro-cargo airport, just to mention a few.
“It is on the above premise that the association found it necessary and important to encourage its members to vote for the continuity of all this developmental achievements by voting for Prince Abiodun in the forthcoming election and all the state Assembly candidates on the platform of APC, on March 11, to enable them finish the good works already started by the present government.”
Showunmi, therefore, appealed to members of ACOMORAN in the state to come out enmass and vote massively for the APC in Saturday’s gubernatorial and House of Assembly election.
