He stated that with what his eyes have seen at Polling Unit, PU 005, which is presided over by Adebola Adeyinka, with 791 registered voters, he is sure that election rigging would soon become a thing of the past.
He said, “With what I saw, I think very soon there will be no room for rigging of elections any longer by politicians.
“Politicians have to work hard to earn popularity from voters or be ready to fizzle out politically.
“There will be no room for rigging because of what I have seen and if it continues strictly, there will be no bypass anywhere.
“Politicians will have to work very hard to earn what they get from the electorates.
“It is not an issue of coming to face the electorates when you have not delivered on the mandate given to you.”
Stressing that Nigeria has done well as a nation, Agom said that he expects things to get better as far as the electoral process is concerned.
An official of the Coalition of Civil Society Groups in Nigeria on Leadership and Good Governance, Ambassador Samuel, stated that the turnout for the bye-elections is tremendous, expressing confidence in the outcome.
