The Kwara State Police Command has called on owners of all vehicles impounded during last year’s COVID-19 lockdown/curfew to collect them immediately.

The command’s Public Relations Officer, Ajayi Okasanmi, in a statement said, “All accidended, unclaimed exhibits including impounded motorcycles during the COVID-19 lock down/curfew imposed by the state government, should be collected right away.

“As such, owners of such vehicles and motorcycles are given 14 days of grace to come with the original documents for identification and collection.”

Warning that after the expiration of the 14 days ultimatum, all unclaimed items would be auctioned,he said, “The Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, CP Mohammed Lawal Bagega, psc, wishes to also assure the good people of Kwara State of his determination to sustain the peace and security of Kwara State which it is known for.”

He counselled the people of Kwara State to be vigilant and inform the police of any strange movements they observed within the area they live.
