A pro-democracy group, Speak-Out 24/7, has described the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, as a genius, adding that “he is a unique personality that combines brain with agility and competence.”
Convener of the group, Comrade Adekunle Adeosun, in a statement on Friday in Lagos, speaking on behalf of the group said this, while reacting to the superlative submission he exhibited during an interview on Channels Television, during a programme anchored by Seun Okinbaloye, where he explained in details, the Muhammadu Buhari administration’s performance in the areas of infrastructure development in the country.
Adeosun averred that Fashola spelt out the step by step of the stages of development of infrastructure to the extent that nobody, even including the opposition, was left in doubt that this administration has done a yeoman’s job in the area of infrastructural development, which is the bedrock of any country’s growth.
Confessing that he was marvelled and excited about the brilliance of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Adeosun thanked God for blessing the country with the type of the honourable Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, who he described further as a God-sent messiah to Nigeria, asserting that “his brilliance and sound mind has shown in the way and manner he has been handling his jobs perfectly and superlatively.”
The rights activist expressed satisfaction on how Fashola reviewed the state of the infrastructure in the country under the supervision of his principal, President Buhari, saying, “It was amazing and out of this world the way he was presenting figures with facts without a pre-prepared note,” asserting that “Fashola was a unique and spectacular personality to behold on the screen and listened to on air.”
Some instances, according to Adeosun would suffice to butress his point on Fashola’s brilliance during the interview, saying, “It is gratifying to learn from him that the much awaited Second Niger Bridge will be open to the public for use latest by December this 2022.”
He continued, “The bridge always witnesses heavy traffic of human and commercial goods, most particularly during the Christmas period.”
Adeosun was specially amazed that the 100-kilometre journey, between Ilorin in Kwara State and Jenna in Niger State, that used to take four days has been reduced to just 90 minutes, exclaiming that Fashola has turned to a miracle worker!
The statement also disclosed that Adeosun and his organization’s admiration for Fashola increased, when they learnt further that the former governor of Lagos State has extended his Midas touch to the Oyo-Ogbomoso road, saying a sign of relief would now be sighed with the dilapidated road being focused on by Fashola and his team of miracle workers.
Adeosun also expressed the delight over the minister’s achievement in the housing sector, saying that covering 34 out of 36 states of the federation is not and cannot be a joke; declaring that, Fashola deserves all the support Nigerians could give him to bring the best out of him because he still has a lot on his sleeves.
On a final note, Adeosun, therefore, urged all and sundry to give the minister the maximum support he deserves to achieve greater success in office by the end of his tenure.
