The Borno State Commissioner for Reconstruction, Rehabilitation Resettlement, RRR, Engr. Ibrahim Idris MNSE, alongside the Chief Architect of the ministry, Arc Alhaji Modu Baba Shehu, have inspected ongoing reconstruction works at Juduri and Nguro Soye communities of Bama and Konduga local government areas.
Recall that during the over a decade atrocities posed by terrorists, many communities were destroyed with displacement of millions as Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, even as the present administration of Governor Babagana Zulum has done well in resettling most of them back to their liberated ancestral homes.
The purpose of the inspection visit, according to the commissioner was in line with Governor Zulum’s administration policy in fast-tracking the quality and speedy completion of all reconstruction projects for a smooth resettlement process in the state.
Shortly after the inspection, Idris expressed his satisfaction with the overall progress of the reconstruction, even as he acknowledged the efforts put in by the construction team and other stakeholders involved.
He therefore emphasized the importance of completing the project within the scheduled timeline while ensuring the highest standards of construction and safety.
The visit, he noted, also provided an opportunity for the ministry staff to interact with the local community representatives and listen to their concerns and feedback.
He said,
“This engagement fostered a sense of inclusion and ensured that the needs and aspirations of the community are duly considered in the ongoing reconstruction process.”
