The governor of Kebbi State, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has affirmed commitment to the sustainability of the agricultural revival policy of his administration, through the provision of necessary input and implements.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary, CPS, to the governor, Abubakar Mu’azu Dakingari, quoted Senator Bagudu as making the affirmation at Makuku town, in Sakaba Local Government Area of the state, during a campaign and visit to interact with the community.
Speaking with community leaders, youth groups and women associations, Bagudu assured them of required material and financial support to improve their wellbeing.
He said that the state government would pursue infrastructural development with emphasis on the construction of the Makuku-Dirin Daji and Dakolo-Dirin Daji for easy transportation of people and goods.
Senator Bagudu directed government officials, traditional rulers, and community leaders to monitor the execution of projects in their localities to conform with specifications.
The governor also commended self-volunteer groups; ‘yan sakai;’ vigilantes; the Nigerian Army; the police; the Civil Defence, for their efforts in restoring peace and security to the areas, which paved way for the return of the IDPs back to their homes.
Earlier, the District Head of Sakaba, Alhaji Garba Musa Sakaba, the Chairman of Sakaba Local Government Area, Dauda Mohammad Sakaba, Malama Aisha Usman, Aishatu Umar Kucici, Balkisu Sani Bala, all thanked the governor for the visit, assuring him that people in the area would give the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidates from top to bottom the desire votes during the election.
The Chairman of Sakaba Local Government, Alhaji Sakaba, thanked the governor for his approval of the construction of Dirin Daji-Doka-Gari and Maza-Maza feeder road projects and appeal for the consideration of the construction of Dirin-Daji-Gari-Gelwasa Zuru road, as well as the rehabilitation of dilapidated Government Secondary School, GSS, Dirin Daji.
Also speaking, the Director-General, APC Campaign Council and former governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Sa’idu Usman Nasamu Dakingari, Senator Bala Ibn Na’Nallah and the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Nasir Idris, solicited for votes for all APC candidates in this year’s elections.
