International ace singer, Yinka Ayefele, has formally unveiled a new Frsh FM new radio station in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.

The new Fresh FM radio station, located at Falegan area of Ado Ekiti, seems to be the largest of his radio stations, considering the magnificent building and modern facilities on ground.

The station inauguration ceremony was performed on Friday by the Eiti State governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, with very few guests in attendance, due to the rampaging COVID-19 pandemic and the need to keep safe and observe laid down protocols to stem the spread of the virus.

Governor Fayemi, represented by his wife, Erelu Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi, commended Ayefele for his investment drive in Ekiti State; explaining that the radio station would create employment for talented youths and enhance communication between government and citizens.

The wife of the governor, after a tour of the facilities on ground at the radio station, described the station as “perfect for modern day broadcasting.”

Speaking earlier, Ayefele, a native of Ipoti Ekiti, in Ijero Local Government Area of Ekiti State, said that the overwhelming support he got from his colleagues in the media when he had an accident inspired him to set up radio stations; promising to promote objectivity and professionalism with his experience in the industry.

He said, “I am not a politician; I am a musician and my root is broadcasting. Nothing will stop me from doing things right in line with the ethics of broadcasting.”
