The Cross River State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Mrs RoseMary Archibong Esq, has been re-elected for the second time as the National President of Institute of Health Services Administors of Nigeria, IHSAN.
Archibong, a fellow of the institute, was one time director of administration, University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, UCTH, where she served the hospital meritoriously before moving forward to join the Governor Ben Ayade-led administration of Cross River State.
Archibong is the first female in Nigeria to assume the position of National President of the Institute.
The election that ushered in Archibong as the Institute’s President for a second term took place during the Institute’s Annual General Meeting, AGM, at the University College Hospital, Ibadan on the 24th of November, 2022.
According to Archibong, other elected officers of the Institute include: the First Vice President, Eze Okezie Chijioke; Second Vice President, Alhaji Musa Ladan, the Dan Gata Nupe; the National Secretary, Mr Harrison Etim, the National Treasurer, Mr Busayo Oladejo; while Bashorun Doja Adewolu, MFR, remains the Chairman Board of Trustees.
The National President further represented the Institute at the Presidential Retreat of the Health Sector Reform Committee in Abuja, where she is a member of the sub-committee on Modernization of the Tertiary and Secondary Hospitals in Nigeria.
The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, GCON, presided over the opening and closing ceremonies of the retreat.
