The Nasarawa State chapter of the Nigeria Institute of Architect, NIA, has passed a vote of confidence on contractors and the quality of construction works done in the state.

The institute also expressed happiness with the Nasarawa State Ministry of Works for its supervisory role in ensuring that contracts awarded meet the desired quality specification.

Chairman of Nasarawa NIA, Architect Shehu Othman, stated this shortly after planting trees at the Ministry of Works complex in Lafia on Friday.

He added that plans were also on course by the institute to ensured that tertiary institutions in the state, like the state polytechnic and others get registration and accreditation of courses, to compete with other institutions in the country.

Othman, however explained that the significance of planting the trees was synanimous with architecture profession, as it symbolises green environment, which is natural for human habitation to the glory of all living in any environment.

He said, “Our visit is also in solidarity with the state government led administration of Engineer Abdullahi Sule, who we believed will lead the state to the next level.”
