The Nasarawa State House of Assembly on Monday passed the 2021 Appropriation Bill of N115.7 billion into law.

The House, however, jerked up the 2021 Appropriation Bill by N2.8 billion from the initial N112.9 billion, earlier presented to it for consideration by Governor Abdullahi Sule.

Announcing the passage of the Bill during plenary in Lafia, the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, appreciated the members for their support and their much needed cooperation, in ensuring the passage of the bill.

The speaker said, “It is very salient for the House to review some allocations due to their importance. For example, under the Nasarawa State University, the introduction of Engineering and Medical Schools caused the increase of their allocation.”

Consequently, the speaker announced that N53,464,156,917 only has been approved by the House as recurrent expenditure and N55,240,925,695 only as capital expenditure.

The speaker added that the sum of N7,017,732,031 has been approved as Consolidated Revenue Funds Charges.
