The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has adopted consensus to select its candidates for its national and zonal offices.
The list, endorsed by governors elected on the platform of the party, comes just as the party’s ongoing national convention gets underway in Abuja,the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
Apart from the zonal Legal Adviser, South-South, 54 consensus candidates were approved.
An ‘Endorsement List,’ obtained by CompassNG, showed Abdullahi Adamu, the senator representing Nasarawa West, selected for the position of the party’s National Chairman.
Other consensus candidates include: Borno senator, Abubakar Kyari, Deputy National Chairman, North; Emma Eneukwu from Enugu, Deputy National Chairman, South; former deputy governor of Osun State, lyiola Omisore, National Secretary; Fetus Fuanter,from Plateau State, Deputy National Secretary, Muhazu Bawa Rijau, from Niger State, National Vice Chairman, North-Central; Adamawa State’s, Mustapha Salihu, National Vice Chairman, North-East; Salihu Lukman, from Kaduna State, National Vice Chairman, North-West;
Ijeomah Arodiogbu, from Imo State, National Vice Chairman, South-East; Rivers State’s Victor Giadom, National Vice Chairman, South-South; and D.I. Kekemeke, from Ondo State, National Vice Chairman, South-West.
Others are: Ahmed El-Marzuk, Katsina State, National Legal Adviser; Ebonyi State’s Uguru Mathew Ofoke, National Treasurer; Bashir Usman Gumel, Jigawa State, National Financial Secretary; Suleiman M. Argungun from Kebbi State, National Organising Secretary; CrossRiver State Commissioner for Health, Betta Edu, National Women Leader; F.N.
