All seems not to be well with the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Anambra State as one of the gubernatorial aspirants for the upcoming November 6 Anambra State gubernatorial election, Emeka Etiaba, SAN, has withdrawn from the race ahead of today’s primary election of the party.
In a letter, dated June 25, 2021 and addressed to the National Chairman of the PDP, Uche Secondus, Barrister Etiaba, SAN, informed the party that he has withdrawn himself from participating in the gubernatorial primary of the party.
He cited the numerous internal turmoils bedeviling the party, which includes manipulation of degate list to achieve a particular end, and the many lawsuits – numbering up to five, as part of the reason for his withdrawal from the exercise.
