The Ajia Balogun of Ibadanland, Oloye Adegboyega Adegoke, has joined other well-meaning indigenes of the ancient town of Ibadan, Nigerians, the Oyo State government, the Council of Chiefs, royal families in saluting the visionary and purposeful leadership of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Olasupo Adetunji, the Olubadan of Ibadanland on his 93rd birthday, today Thursday, August 26, 2021.
Felicitating with the Olubadan on his birthday, Chief Adegoke wished the royal father many more years of good health and strength.
He lauded the traditional ruler for his consistently in the promotion of peaceful and harmonious co-existence, and respect for religions and diverse cultures in the state and the country as whole.
The Ajia Balogun, who is also a senatorial hopeful for Oyo South senatorial district, under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, noted that Oba Adetunji had successfully carried on with the legacies of his forefathers, dating back to the 16th century, with an intentional focus to uphold the beautiful traditions of hospitality, respect for authorities and communal development that has always defined the throne.
Extolling the royal father for his maturity and wise counselling to the leaders and indigenes alike, tutoring the younger generation on the path of good education and entrepreneurship, Ajia Balogun prayed that the Almighty God will continue to protect Oba Adetunji and his family, and grant him more strength to look after his subjects.
