…Inaugurates Committee For Others In Institutions Across Nigeria

In line with his deliberate effort to further boost the economic and social wellbeing of the people of Akoko South East/West federal constituency; and position the youths for favorable competitive edge in education, as well as reduce the pains of parents in their bid to give their wards quality education, the member representing the constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon Ade Adeogun, popularly known as the ‘Beautiful Brand’ across the two local governments that made up the constituency, has approved another round of scholarship for 200 constituents at the Upland College of Education, Ipesi-Akoko.

The scholarship, the second in the series since his election in 2019, covers tuition for the three-year National Certificate in Education, NCE, programme at the higher institution.

To kick start the selection process, a five-man Selection Committee has been put in place, to not only ensure that qualified candidates benefit from the scholarship scheme, but to also look into selection process for scholarship for other constituents in other higher institutions of learning across the country.

The Selection Committee, headed by Rev. Dr. Ekundayo has Dr. Akin Oluwadayisi as Secretary; Dr. Mrs. Jacob, member; Mr. Victor Olasehinde Adedotun, member; and Mr Femi Agbede, member.

While inaugurating the committee, the ‘Beautiful Brand’ said, “We are strongly of the view that education is the bedrock of national development and every constituent, who strives to excel should be encouraged.”

Meanwhile, the committee is expected to make available in the soonest time possible, the relevant criteria for qualification for the Upland College of Education scholarship and scholarship for other constituents in other higher institutions.

A statement signed by the Special Assistant to the Beautiful Brand on Media and Publicity, Abire Sunday Olugbenga and made available to the media said, “While we wait for the scholarship committee to come up with their modalities, we implore all interested constituents to check our offices in Oba-Akoko, Akungba-Akoko, Oka-Akoko and Isua-Akoko for the Upland College of Education forms.

“We pray that God will continue to bless every member of the committee for offering to serve humanity.”
