…As He Donates Big Screen Plasma TV To Hall Of Fame and Gardens
The Afe Babalola Beneficiaries Worldwide, ABBW, has expressed profound gratitude to the senator representing Ekiti Central at the upper chamber of the National Assembly, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, popularly known as MOB, for his support for and contribution to the development of Afe Babalola Hall of Fame and Gardens, Okemesi-Ekiti.
Senator Opeyemi just recently donated a big screen plasma television set to the Afe Babalola Hall of Fame and Gardens, Okemesi-Ekiti.
Expressing gratitude to the senator, the initiator of the project, Chief Ogunniyi Morakinyo, the Amuludun of Okemesiland and publisher of Kayegbo International Magazine, thanked the senator for his good gesture, promising to put the television to the use for which it is meant for.
Kayegbo, as he is popularly known across the length and breadth of Ekiti, also used the opportunity to call on well meaning and public-spirited Ekiti indigenes, both at home and in the diaspora to support the project, which he said is meant to appreciate and immortalize foremost legal luminary and educationist, Chief Afe Babalola, SAN, for his philanthropic activities and his contribution to the development and growth of mankind.
The Afe Babalola Hall of Fame and Gardens, situated at the base of the popular Oke Agbona in Okemesi is the brain-child of Chief Morakinyo, in collaboration with Afe Babalola Beneficiaries Worldwide, ABBW.
Chief Morakinyo said, “On behalf of the management of Afe Babalola Hall of Fame and Gardens and ABBW, let me thank our senator, MOB, for this kind gesture. He has set the ball rolling and I want to use this opportunity to thank him profusely and also call on well-meaning and public-spirited indigenes of Ekiti State, both home and abroad too join hands with us to take this project to the next level.
“We must not wait till our heroes are dead and gone before we celebrate them and that was what motivated the establishment of Afe Babalola Hall of Fame and Gardens, to immortalize a living legend and philanthropist of this generation, Chief Babalola, SAN.
“Senator Bamidele, once again, on behalf of Afe Babalola Hall of Fame and Gardens and ABBW, thank you and God bless.”
Senator Bamidele is also seeking to return to the Senate in the forthcoming election on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to represent Ekiti Central senatorial district.
