Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has commiserated with the Minister of State for Health, Mr. Isaaq Salako, over the death of his mother, Alhaja Fadilat Anike Salako, who passed on at the age of 95 years.
Abiodun described the passing of the matriarch of the Salako family at a ripe old age as a testament to the grace of God in her exemplarily well lived life, adding that he recognized the fact that the death of one’s precious mother is always a painful event.
He, however, urged the minister to take consolation in the fact that the deceased left highly accomplished sons and daughters as well as grandchildren who will carry on her legacy for generations to come.
He added that the demise of Alhaja Salako while she was observing her fast in the holy month of Ramadan has deep spiritual significance, and is an indication that Almighty Allah has accepted her into His bosom.
He said, “I commiserate with the Honourable Minister of State (Health) on the occasion of the demise of his mother, Alhaja Fadilat Anike Salako.
“The demise of a caring mother who gave her all to see that you and your siblings received the best that life could offer will, no doubt, leave you with great memories, feelings and emotions that may be difficult to even put in words.
“We take a huge consolation, however, in the great life that Mama lived as a mother and person of deep faith in Almighty Allah.
“Mama was Almighty Allah’s special gift to us and she will be sorely missed.
“May Almighty Allah, who has beckoned on her in this holy month of Ramadan, grant her Aljanah Fridaus and give you and other members of the Salako family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
