…Condoles With PMB; Advises Nigerians To Obey Health Instructions
The Chairman of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, LASUBEB, Hon Wahab Alawiye-King, has condoled with the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, over the passing on of his Chief of Staff, CoS, Mallam Abba Kyari, saying that the unfortunate incident further affirms the reality of the existence of COVID-19 in the country.
Reacting to the death of Abba Kyari, who died from complications arising from the coronavirus, and which occurred on Saturday, April 18, the LASUBEB Chairman, in his condolence message, also said that the death of Kyari, one of the pillars of Mr. President’s administration, shows that the virus is not a respecter of any person, regardless of social class or age, adding that all hands must be on deck to wage war against the spread of the deadly virus.
Alawiye-King advised Nigerians not toy with the laid down health instructions put in place by experts in the health sector to combat the spread of the deadly novel coronavirus.
He said, “Nigerians should know that this is a serious health issue on our hands and the only way we can combat, contain and curtail its deadly spread is through strict adherence to the laid down health precautions and measures by experts in the field.”
He added that it becomes imperative that “we must obey the rule of social distancing, wash and sanitise our hands regularly and ensure we stay at home and stay safe.”
While condoling with President Buhari on the death of his CoS, the LASUBEB chairman described the deceased as a man dedicated to his duty, loyal and committed to his boss and passionate about the growth and development of the country.
