The remains of the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari, were laid to rest at the Gudu Cemetary in Abuja on Saturday.
The exercise was carried out under close monitoring by officials of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, to prevent sympathisers from contracting COVID-19.
Kyari, who passed away on Friday, had been battling with the coronavirus for weeks at an undisclosed medical facility in Lagos.
Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Buhari, Femi Adesina, announced Kyari’s death in the early hours of Saturday, April 18.
