- Four new cases of COVID-19, also known as coronavirus were on Monday confined in Nigeria.
This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, via its Twitter account in the early hours of Sunday, March 22, 2020.
The latest case has been confirmed in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
As at 08:05 am on the 22nd of March, there are 26 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria
Of the 26 confirmed cases, 2 have been discharged with no death, since February 27 when an Italian man tested positive to the novel virus.
The Italian index patient was discharged on Friday, March 20, 2020.
